like rolling meadows
of wildflowers
that seem to go on forever
like the way spring arrives
on a warm
blue day in April
like the grass
that finally glistens
after a month of summer rain
like oceans
of African jade,
Enough to get lost in
like the songs
that birds sing from the trees
to each other
like the wilderness
of untouched forests
that knows no end
like a Persian lily
that’s never scared
of a drop of rain
like the northern lights
that sometimes live
in my living room
like the emerald city
always full of what
I don't know quite yet
